These Slow Cooker Portuguese Braised Ribs (Entrecosto) are fall-off-the-bone tender and full of rich, comforting flavour. I used my Our Place Dream Cooker for that effortless, low-and-slow magic—but you can use any slow cooker or even a Dutch oven on low heat for a few hours.

Marinated overnight in white wine, garlic, paprika, herbs, and a little tomato paste, then slow-cooked until the ribs are melt-in-your-mouth perfect.

You’ll need:
• 1 rack pork ribs (2–2.5 lbs), cut into 2–3 rib sections
• 1/2 cup white wine
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1/2 tbsp sweet paprika
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp tomato paste
• 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• 1/2 tsp dried thyme
• 1 bay leaf
• Optional: red pepper flakes or piri-piri for heat

Steps:
1. Mix everything (except ribs and olive oil) to create a marinade.
2. Coat ribs well and marinate for 4–24 hours.
3. Optional: Sear ribs in a little olive oil for extra flavour.
4. Add everything to your Dream Cooker. Cook on low for 6–8 hrs or high for 3.5–4.5 hrs.
5. Serve with potatoes, rice, or crusty bread to soak up every last drop.

It’s comfort food with soul—Portuguese-style.
