Nothing says summer in a Portuguese household quite like a big bowl of Salada de Fruta. 🇵🇹☀️ Filled with colourful fresh fruit and lightly sweetened with Port wine and Licor Beirão, this classic dessert is often found on holiday tables, summer BBQs, weddings, baptisms, and family celebrations.
What I love most about this recipe is that it’s incredibly simple, yet always impresses guests. The fruit soaks up the sweet Portuguese flavours and becomes even better after chilling in the fridge. 🍇🍊✨
During the week, I actually make a non-alcoholic version of this recipe for my kids as part of my meal prep routine. It’s an easy way to keep fresh fruit ready to grab and enjoy throughout the week. 👩👧👦❤️

It’s a dessert that feels elegant enough for special occasions while remaining simple enough for everyday gatherings.
