If you love bold flavours and simple cooking, this Portuguese Piri Piri Garlic Shrimp is a recipe you’ll want to make again and again.
Shrimp cooks incredibly fast, making it perfect when you want something quick but still packed with flavour. In this recipe, the shrimp are tossed in olive oil, sweet paprika, piri piri, and seasoning before being cooked in butter with lots of fresh garlic.
As the shrimp cook, they release their juices and combine with the garlic and butter to create the most incredible sauce. It’s rich, garlicky, and slightly spicy with that classic Portuguese piri piri kick.
The best part is how simple the ingredients are. Most of them are pantry staples, but together they create a dish that tastes like something you would order at a Portuguese restaurant.
Whether you’re making this as a quick seafood dish, appetizer, or part of a larger Portuguese spread, it’s guaranteed to be a crowd favourite.
